To the world, you are a mother;
To me, you are my world!
Heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord your God, the earth with all that is in it.
As I sit at my desk to write this Easter message, my heart is filled with gratitude that I am still alive. I pray that you and your loved ones are doing well also.
We celebrate Easter because it is the time when God's best work took place. Though Jesus was betrayed, beaten, mocked, dragged and endured tremendous suffering, God defeated Satan, rose Jesus from the dead and accepted Jesus' sacrifice as the penalty for our sins. What the enemy meant for evil, God turned it for good. I have no doubt that God will turn this dark time we are going through for good also.
More than ever, I want people to know that God loves them. Isaiah 54:10 says, "The mountains and hills may crumble, but my love for you will never end; I will keep forever my promise of peace."
The Sheltering in Place has allowed us to look into our lives to make sure that everything is in alignment with God's vision for us. His vision for us is that we will be our best self. His vision for us is that we can be more like his Son, Jesus Christ, loving and forgiving.
Currently I am doing a Master's program at Fuller Theological Seminary. One of the books I am reading for my class is entitled God Has A Dream by the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Tutu tells that when the late Mandela was in jail for 27 years, he worked for 17 years at Robben Island cutting stones into small pieces. The stone pieces weren't being used for anything. The stones were white and combined with the brightness of the sun, Mandela developed issues with his eyes. When he finally became the president of South Africa, he sent a VIP invitation to his former jailer to attend his presidential inauguration. Now that is having our lives in alignment with God's vision for us.Friends and family, my prayer for you this Easter is that you will feel God's love more than ever. I pray also that you take the time to see how you can make your life in alignment with God's vision for you so you can be your best self.
Church buildings might be empty but His word is being preached all across the world online. Today, my pastor preached about Daniel in the lion's den and how Daniel went to the end to prove his love and commitment for the Lord. He knew in his heart that God was sovereign. His character was tested but he came out victorious..
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

Bloomberg stated today that though there were 11 million Americans who were millionaires just two months ago, that number has gone down by 500,000 instantly. Material gains come and go, but if you put your hopes in God, you will never be disappointed.
It is nice to get earthly recognition for our work, but for me, the award I am so looking forward to is my God saying, "Daughter, well done."
"If they stare, let them stare. You can't blend in when you are born to stand out."

"I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken".
Today, while I was sitting outside my office to enjoy God's creation, someone asked me, "How can you relax at a time like this." My answer to them was the above Biblical verse. The person said, "I can't argue with that :-)."
If you ever feel that you can't bear all the stuff that is going around you, you are not mistaken. Remember one thing though: God is still in control!
"God will give you more than you can bear, but NEVER more than He can bear."
