" Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important. Capture the good times. Develop from the negatives; and if things don't work out, take another shot."
What are you doing this weekend to keep your heart in peace? Whatever you do, keep the people and the thoughts that steal your peace away and immerse yourself in peaceful surroundings.
~~Photographed in Monteray, CA Jesus said to the lady at the well, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” What a comfort to know that!
~~John 4:13-14 ~~Photographed at Old Mission Santa Barbara Wishing you a great week from Sequoia National Park. It is the home of the world's #1 and #2 largest redwood trees, named General Sherman and General Grant respectively.
Let's just say, if you ever think that you gained a few pounds and you feel big, come and stand next to one of these trees and you will feel tiny and so much better. Tell all the negative thoughts in your mind, "You don't belong here. I have new tenants and their names are love, joy and peace. Get out!" Don't forget to tell them that you have put a restriction order against them to never come back. Oh, it felt so good to say that .
~~ Photographed at Stanford University & Chapel One of the worst things we can do is to compare ourselves with others. To compare ourselves with others, when God made each one of us so differently, is deleterious.
This weekend, I hope that you jubilate on the fact that you are the most fascinating person in the world and there is no one like you. I think that calls for celebration, don't you? I am celebrating my fascinating self at the Hurst Castle in San Simeon :). Well, I am. In fact, that is the secret of my happiness. When things don't go my way, when I see so many people hurt, one thing that keeps me smiling is the word "nevertheless". Things might not go my way, nevertheless, my God is able. In the natural sense, it is impossible, but I trust a supernatural God!
Become a nevertheless person and experience endless joy like I do! Jesus, knowing all the suffering, pain, beating, insult, spitting that was going to happen to you, You still chose to trade heaven to die for me.
A million words are not enough to say thank You, but thank God, I have eternity to do that. Serra Cross Park, Ventura, California (Named after the first missionary that brought Christianity to California) Since it has been a short week, come and join me at Moro Rock at Sequoia National Park. First you do some warm-up in the gym. You then climb 797 steps up Moro Rock to the top to enjoy the spectacular view. You then relax in bed with a good book. Now, that's a good weekend.
Whatever you plan to do this weekend, make it a great one. |
