At an all day global business meeting, it was fascinating talking to Dr. Tae Yun Kim, a self-made billionaire. Yes, that is with a "b". Dr. Kim, once worked in housekeeping at a hotel and as an attendant at a gas station. Today, she is a billionaire and is on fire. When asked what her secret is for her mega success, her reply was "He can do, she can do, why not me!" The truth, sometimes, is so simple.
One one of the many benefits of writing and giving speeches for me is, I get to speak to the woman in the mirror, me. The more I learn, the more I grow. Winning last night's contest at Stanford was not bad either :).
As you know, I have been fortunate to win numerous times at Stanford speech club. Last week, I was invited to visit the speech club at Apple, Inc. I was just being a good guest and then I got asked to give an impromptu speech. Well, what can I say? I won the "Best Table Topics Speaker" award at Apple :). I was so hoping that my award will be the iPhone 6, but no :).
"If you are depressed, you are living in the past;
If you are anxious, you are living in the future;
If you are at peace, you are living in the present."
Google might paint its bikes green, yellow and red, but to me, those colors represent much more. It is the color of the flag of my beloved home, Ethiopia. May this year bring you the long-awaited peace, prosperity and happiness!
Thank you, Bill Gates, for impacting the world positively!

As an Image and Style Consultant, I get asked often about the right outfit, skincare and makeup. Yet, I also get asked "What is your secret for your happiness?" The secret for my happiness is knowing that God is with me 24/7. NOTHING harmful can come my way without His permission. If that security does not make me happy, I don't know what will.
